Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026. This policy explains how findspace handles your information.
Who we are
findspace (“we”, “us”) operates the findspace website, an independent comparison platform for self-storage facilities in Australia. This policy describes how we collect and use personal information in accordance with the Australian Privacy Act 1988.
What information we collect
Account information
If you create an account, we collect your name, email address and authentication credentials through our identity provider (Supabase). This lets you save facilities, comparisons and search history across devices.
Saved preferences
When you save facilities or comparisons, we store those selections against your account. Some preferences may also be stored locally in your browser.
Search and usage data
We collect information about how you use the site, including pages visited, searches performed and features used. This helps us improve the service.
Contact form submissions
When you contact us, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email and message) so we can respond to your enquiry.
Cookies and analytics
We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand how it is used.
- Google Analytics — helps us understand traffic and usage patterns. Google may process data according to its own privacy policy.
- Microsoft Clarity — helps us understand how users interact with pages (such as scroll and click patterns) to improve usability.
- Essential cookies — required for authentication and core site functionality.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some features, such as staying signed in.
How we store data
Account data is stored securely using Supabase, a cloud database and authentication provider. Data may be processed on servers located outside Australia. We take reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle information in line with this policy.
Facility listing data displayed on findspace is sourced from publicly available operator information and is not personal information about you.
How we use your information
- To provide and improve the findspace service
- To authenticate your account and sync saved data
- To respond to enquiries and support requests
- To analyse usage and fix issues
- To comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
